Deusi-Bhailo in New Delhi

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: The Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi has organized a "Deusi- Bhailo" program to mark Deepawali Festival with New Delhi-based Nepali community on Monday evening.



Eight groups each comprising 20-50 people representing various Nepalese organizations based in Delhi participated the function. [break]



According to a press statement issued from Nepal´s embassy in Delhi, those organizations were Mool Pravah Akhil Bharat Nepali Ekta Samaj New Delhi Nagar Committee, Pravasi Nepali Mitra Manch, Gurung Sewa Samiti, Hatemalo Nepali Students Group, Gurgaon Cultural Family, Nepali Janasampark Samiti Ghaziabad, Migrant Nepali Association South West Delhi Town Samiti, and Emigrant Nepalese Association Central East Delhi Municipal Committee.



Nepal´s Charge d´Affaires to India, K. N. Adhikari, and Nepalese diplomats at the embassy and their family members observed the function. Those organizations performed traditional Deusi Bhailo along with cultural programs during the function.



"The Embassy organizes Deusi Bhailo program every year in order to promote and protect Nepalese customs, culture and festivals among Nepalese community residing in India," reads the press statement.
