KATHMANDU, March 11: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed his dissatisfaction over Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar’s sending back of the recommendation for appointing 11 justices at Supreme Court to the judicial council.

Talking to journalists during an interaction organized by Reporters’ Club at his residence in Budhanilakantha on Friday, Deuba said the speaker’s move was wrong. “Speaker should not interfere with judiciary. She should have worked toward forming the parliamentary hearings committee instead of sending the recommendation back to the council,” said Deuba. He, however, did not reveal that whether he is satisfied with the recommendation or not.

NC President Deuba said that he will talk with UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal over the issue.

Claiming that KP Oli-led present government will collapse itself by failing to bear its own burden, Deuba said that the NC will play an active role of opposition for now.
