KATHMANDU, June 13: Senior leader of Nepali Congress (NC) Sher Bahadur Deuba on Sunday refuted that he was for forming the youth squad of the party.

Talking to media persons after a central committee meeting, Deuba, who visibly was enraged, criticized media for writing and disseminating unfounded news. “I had neither gone to form youth squad, nor had Sushil Koirala phoned me to stop that,” he said.

There were reports on Sunday that Deuba along with another influential leader of the party Khum Bahadur Khadka had reached to Sindhupalchowk to announce formation of a youth squad of the party on Saturday. The reports said they had withdrawn their plan after party Acting President Sushil Koirala warned of action against doing that.
