KATHMANDU, August 4: The Department of Consular Services under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is starting the process of verifying Police Clearance Certificate (PPC) completely online from Sunday. With this the obligation for service-recipients to visit the Department at Tripureshwor in Kathmandu in person or send representatives has been removed.

A few days ago, Minister for Foreign Affairs, NP Saud, had given this instruction to the Department of Consular Services to make arrangements to conduct the work to be done within 10 days. Foreign Minister Saud had given the instruction to reduce crowding at the Department of Passports and to remove the obligation of the service-seekers to be present for the verification of PPC.
