BIRATNAGAR, August 14: Deluge trigged by monsoon rains wreaked has in the Morang district, killing at least 18 people.
“As many as 18 people were killed as of Monday after being swept away by the floods caused by heavy rainfall since last three days,” District Police Office, Morang told Republica Online.
Four bodies were recovered from Indian territory. Security personnel from Bihar State of India recovered the bodies.
The water level is gradually receding after it stopped raining.
Twelve were killed on Monday alone while six people had been recorded killed as of Sunday.
