CHITWAN, Feb 17: A deer was killed after being hit by a moving truck at Ratnanagar area along the East-West highway on Wednesday morning.
According to the District Police Office, the truck (Na 6 Kha 1460) heading toward Nuwakot from Rautahat hit the deer at 4 AM today. The deer died on the spot, according to police.
Police later impounded the truck and took its driver under control from Ramnagar, Bharatpur Metropolitan City in Chitwan.
The driver is 24-year-old Anil Kumal of Devchuli Municipality-1, Nawalparasi. He has been taken to the District Forest Office, Chitwan for further action.
