Death toll in Bara explosion reaches three

BARA, Feb 27: The death toll from the explosion of a suspicious object in Nijgadh municipality-7, Bara has reached three on Tuesday, a day after the incident occurred.

The District Police Office, Bara, reported that Rakesh Jaiswal from Gawahi, India, and Ritu Rajat from Birgunj metropolis-9, Parsa succumbed to their injuries while undergoing treatment. According to DPO Bara Spokesperson Dadhiram Neupane, those injured in the incident are currently receiving medical treatment at Vayodha Hospital in Birgunj.

Resham Jarga Magar, owner of Rohit Workshop, died on the spot during the explosion on Monday. Magar is a resident of Nijgadh municipality-9.

Ramesh Jaiswal visited the workshop asking for the removal of copper attached to the object and the explosion occurred during the process of separating the metal from it. 

The police have apprehended some individuals on suspicion of their involvement in the incident. Firod Dewan from Birgunj metropolis-9 and Arvin Shah from Gadhawa, India, have been arrested, according to Spokesperson Neupane.

Likewise, Ramesh Jaiswal and his spouse Sushila Devi Jaiswal are also under arrest for further investigation. Police are investigating the incident.
