Dearness allowance up by Rs 2,000

KATHMANDU, May 29: The government has hiked dearness allowance for all its staffers.



Presenting the full-fledged budget at the Federal Parliament on Tuesday, Finance Minister Yubaraj Khatiwada said that the dearness allowance for the government staffers has been increased by Rs 2,000.

However, the fiscal budget has not metioned anything regarding the salary increament. Presenting the budget Finance Minister Khatiwada said that a high level commission will formed to study and recomment the salary of the government staffers. 


Similalry, the government has increased the tax for the motorbikes having 150 (cubic capacity) CC and those four-wheelers with 1,000 CC and above. 


The fiscal udget unveiled for the fiscal year 2018/19 is put at Rs 1.315 trillion.
