DHARAN, Feb 22: A body that was found inside two bags in the forest of Apagachhi area at Dharan-4 along the Dharan-Bhedetar road section of the Koshi Highway on 16 February has been identified. The body was identified about a week after it was found.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as Deepak Sigdel, 43, of Damak Municipality-5, Jhapa. According to the police, he was killed and brought to Dharan to dispose of his body.

Police have not given details about the incident. District Police Chief and SP Sanjay Singh Thapa said that investigation is underway and the police will hold a press conference today. According to him, some people have been arrested on suspicion of being involved in the murder.
Similarly, SP Thapa said that it took time to hold a press conference as the arrested were changing their statements time and again. "Those arrested have been talking in two or three ways, but the evidence is overwhelming. There will be a press conference today,” he said.
On 16 and 17 February, a dead body was found inside two bags in the forest of Apagachhi area at Dharan-4 along the Dharan-Bhedetar road section of the Koshi Highway. The locals had found a head and one leg in a bag when they went to look for firewood in the forest around 4PM on Wednesday while a team from the Federal Police Unit and Area Police Office Dharan searched the forest and found other body parts in another bag on Thursday.
