DDC falsely qualifying VDCs

GULMI: It has been revealed that Gulmi District Development Committee (DDC) has been qualifying several VDCs, which do not meet the minimum criteria measurement, as the government decreases the budget for disqualified VDCs. [break]



This was known after the Ministry of Local Development recently disqualified four of the 14 VDCs which were approved by the DDC. Most of DDCs across the country are learnt to have been qualifying the VDCs that do not meet minimum criteria measurement. The DDCs under the recommendation of Minimum Criteria Measuring agents had qualified Jayakhani, Foksing, Rupatkot, Kurdha, Ruru, Mumuwa, Gawadi, Arkhabang, Neta, Dhurkotarjasthal, Hastichowr and Aaglung VDCs.
