KATHMANDU, March 31: Nepal Teachers´ Association and All Nepal National Independent Students´ Union (Revolutionary) have signed a five-point agreement, putting an end to their persisting dispute with DAV Sushil Kedia Bishwo Bharati School.

The agreement was signed on Sunday at the Education Ministry in the presence of Director General of Department of Education Lavadev Awasthi.

The understanding was possible after the school management expressed the commitment to reinstate 21 teachers that it had dismissed earlier and abide by existing education act and teachers´ code of conduct.

Besides, as per the agreement, the school shall not deprive teachers of promised perks and benefits.

Information about this was shared at a press meet organised by the Association here on Sunday.

Similarly, the school was learnt to have committed to adopt textbooks that would not have any negative impact on nationality and create working-friendly environment for teachers.

Association Chairman Guna Raj Lohani has warned of launching an agitation again if the school failed to fulfill its commitments.
