The Dattatraya deity is worshipped as the form of incarnation of three Hindu Gods Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwar. It is believed that during the month of Shrawan, God Mahadev manifests at the Dattatraya Temple, which is the reason the religious fair takes place.

Thousands of devotees from Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur including neighboring districts throng the Temple complex during the Monday fairs.

The concerned local authorities have arranged for a chits with numbers scribbled on it. The volunteers provide the chit to the devotee who lines up for paying homage in the temple. RSS
