DOLPA, Oct 5: District Administration Office (DA)), Dolpa has decided to beef up security condition in all the eight local units of the district during the upcoming Dashain and Tihar festivals.
A meeting among the stakeholders including local entrepreneurs and civil society held on Friday took a decision to this effect.
“Sale of alcoholic beverages will be banned and those involved in unruly activities under the influence of alcohol will be taken captive throughout the festival,” said DSP Abadesh Bista.
According to the decision, the only those shops receiving permission are allowed to sell alcoholic beverages after 7 pm. Similarly, the gambling will also be strictly prohibited.
