KATHMANDU, June 26: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Thursday declined by 4.45 points to close at 2,595.74 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,600.20 points and surged to the day’s high at 2,617.39 points within the first one hour of trading. The index however went down gradually to reach as low as 2,595.05 points in the last six minutes before the market closed for the day.

Four out of the 13 groups were the gainers, as the development bank added up the largest of 52.88 points in its index. Of the losers, hotels and tourism group shed the highest of 128.00 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies declined 1.21 points. The daily turnover amount increased to Rs 7.78 billion from Rs 5.94 billion on Wednesday.
Among the individual companies, 93 were gainers while 155 were recorded as the losers. Butwal Power Company Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 625.23 million.
Reliable Samriddhi Yojana lost the highest of 9.30 percent of its market value. By adding 9.18 percent in its share price, Green Development Bank stood as the largest gainer.
