Party sources told myrepublica.com that the party chairman Dahal, who is also the Prime Minister, proposed on Tuesday to create the "Headquarter" with senior leaders – Mohan Baidya, Dr Baburam Bhattarai and Narayan Kaji Shrestha, among others – as its members. This would make the party work easier as it has been very difficult and time consuming for the jumbo central committee to take timely decisions.
Tuesday´s meeting of the central committee, that followed separate meetings of the party secretariat and politburo, didn´t make any decision on any of the issues – allocation of party responsibilities, formation of party fronts and division of regions, among others, which were tabled by Dahal.
Party spokesperson Dina Nath Sharma told journalists that the central committee will meet again on Wednesday.
