During the meeting, Chairman Yadav, who also heads the Federal Democratic Front (FDF), complained that the report of the Election Constituency Delienation Commission (CDC) that recommends keeping the existing 240 constituencies intact has vitiated talks atmosphere.
"I told that this is immoral. The CDC submitted its report with such a recommendation at a time when we are in negotiation with the HLPC demanding that election constituencies be delienated based on the number of population," Yadav told Republica. [break]
Yadav said the recomendations by the CDC not only goes against the constitutional provision and the recent verdict of the Supreme Court, but also political agreements reached with them in the past. "How can we sit for negotiations in such a situation?" Yadav had asked Dahal during the meeting.
On the occasion, Dahal reportedly told Yadav that the CDC had not consulted HLPC while submitting such report. He also assured that HLPC meeting scheduled for Sunday will take necessary decision
