KATHMANDU, Nov 3: Children as Zone of Peace (CZOP)-National Campaign has asked the government to expand the 'Day Meal Program' upto grade six students of the community schools.
Issuing a press statement on Thursday, the CZOP urged the government to ensure a budget for the Day Meal Programme to a total of 434,000 sixth graders of the community schools.

The sixth graders of the community schools are deprived of their day meal after the Ministry of Finance curtailed the budget for the title from the fiscal year 2079/080 BS.
The Ministry is urged to allocate a budget for the title in order to ensure nutrition to the students and promote their learning activities, the CZOP stated.
