ILAM, Sept 27: A four-day cycle rally has started from Ilam's Kanyam area coinciding with the 37th World Tourism Day and driven with an objective to promote eastern hilly districts as one of many tourist destinations in the country.
The eight-member team of cyclists led by world cyclist, Pushkar Shah, will traverse difficult terrains and travel to tourism destinations in Ilam, Paanchthar and Dhankuta.
The other cyclists include Akash Limbu, Bikash Limbu, Suman Lingden, Krishna KC, Sadiur Ghale, Binu Rai and Sujan Chaudhary.
Shah said the rally was being held for publicity of the possibilities of cycling in the hilly regions with development infrastructure in place. RSS
