NEPALGUNJ, Oct 5: The curfew imposed in the Nepalgunj sub-metropolitan area for the past three days has seen some relaxation.
The Banke District Administration Office issued an official notice stating that the curfew, initially enforced from 8 AM to 8 PM today, has been partially lifted. However, the curfew will remain in effect from 8 PM today until 6 AM tomorrow.
Curfew and Prohibition order lifted completely in Nepalgunj
While the curfew has been eased during daylight hours, certain prohibitions will persist. Bipin Acharya, the Chief District Officer of Banke, has confirmed that restrictions on gatherings of more than five individuals, processions, meetings, and the display of posters and pamphlets will continue due to security concerns.
This decision comes following an all-party meeting held on Wednesday, where consensus was reached on the importance of maintaining social harmony. As a result, the curfew was relaxed starting this morning, allowing residents some respite while maintaining vigilance for security and order.
