KATHMANDU, Oct 4: The CPN-UML has postponed its Secretariat meeting that was scheduled to begin on Sunday.
The party's 58th Secretariat meeting will now be held next Friday, according to Dr. Bhishma Adhikari, the party’s office secretary.

He stated that the meeting was rescheduled due to continuous rainfall, which has caused floods, landslides, and other monsoon-related disruptions across the country. The party's Central Committee meeting is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu from October 29 to 31.
According to Adhikari, the upcoming Secretariat meeting will determine the party’s new strategy and direction in light of the changed social and political landscape following the Gen Z protests.
The last time the party held a Secretariat meeting was on September 28 — just a few days after CPN-UML Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli made a public appearance following the Gen Z protests on September 8–9.
