KATHMANDU, June 14: CPN-UML lawmaker Surendra Pandey has demanded the resignation of Finance Minister Janardan Sharma stating that serious questions have been raised against him.
Speaking in Tuesday's meeting of the House of Representatives, Pandey said Finance Minister Sharma should resign from his post morally as he was accused of manipulating tax rates in collusion with unauthorized people during budget formulation.

Pandey further added that it was a serious crime and demanded an investigation against Finance Minister Sharma. MP Pandey said that parliament should also take steps in this regard.
MP Pandey also drew the attention of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba to the issue. He said that Prime Minister Deuba should be held accountable in this regard and also requested to inform parliament.
