KATHMANDU, Aug 28: The main opposition party, CPN-UML has raised question over the government's act of sending Deputy Prime Ministers to neighbouring countries as special envoys.
Demanding time in Sunday's meeting of the Parliament, CPN-UML's Bhim Bahadur Rawal questioned the reasons behind sending DPMs as special envoys by the government against the United Nations and Panchsheel principle.

Expressing the view that the government should be serious towards sovereignty of the country, he demanded that Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal clarify about the letter he sent to the Indian Prime Minister.
As per the decision of cabinet, Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister Bimalendra Nidhi and Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara had gone to India and China respectively few days ago.
Similarly, Agni Kharel of the same party questioned what activities the government had been carrying out to make the new constitution acceptable to all and whether the local elections would be held on time.
Kharel also sought information about the implementation of schedule formed by the erstwhile government for implementation of the new constitution. RSS
