Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota had given time to CPN-UML lawmaker Ganesh Singh Thagunna to speak after the party’s lawmakers protested against the incident in the beginning of today's meeting of the House of Representatives.

The CPN-UML demanded a formal protest be registered with India over the incident and legal action be taken against the guilty SSB man, besides providing compensation to the family of the missing.

According to Thagunna, no action was taken even after the family of the deceased filed an FIR at the local Indian police station. He also accused the Nepal government of trying to cover up the incident and demanded action against the guilty Indian SSB man for committing crimes against humanity.
