KATHMANDU, Nov 5: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal said that he will resolve the issue of identity. Speaking at a program organized on the occasion of ‘Nepal Sambat 1142’ at Lalitpur on Friday, Dahal said that he has put a 12-point opinion in the Constituent Assembly, regarding the issue of identity.
“We have not deserted the issue regarding identity. We have staged protests when the identity problem was not addressed by the constitution,” Dahal said. Stating that he disliked the national and foreign reactionaries that have empowered the country and its citizens, he said that the reactionaries have been trying to weaken the CPN (Maoist Center).
“As witnessed, the reactionaries are trying to overthrow the development process and are in favor of anti-revolutionary, at a time when the CPN (Maoist Center) has become weak. We stood against their actions and were able to stop the progress of the retrogressive forces,” Dahal said.
Stating that he is in favor of leading the country towards a socialist nation and is building a revolutionary party, Dahal said that he will move the party forward in a revolutionary manner in the upcoming national conference.
“We are determined to form a new revolutionary party to resolve the issues of the oppressed class community and implement the strategy of socialist revolution," Dahal said. “For that, we will not hesitate to stage protests,” he said.
Furthermore, stating that relief packages have been distributed to people from the ministries which are under the responsibilities of the party, Dahal said that the CPN (Maoist Center) is committed to solving the problems of the general public.
