LAHAN, Feb 3: The custody of Free Madhes Alliance Coordinator, Chandra Kant Raut (CK Raut), has been extended by 10 more days for ongoing investigation for organized crime against the state.
The Siraha District Court issued the order after demand for the same by Area Police Office, Lahan. Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Raj Kumar KC, said the court order will facilitate the extension of Raut's custody and help in gathering more evidence against him.

During a mass meeting held at Lahan of Siraha on January 18, Raut made a statement calling for splitting Madhes and turning it into a separate country, following which the police filed charges of organized crime against the state. RSS
