BHAKTAPUR, Oct 1: Nepal Workers' Peasants' Party Chairperson, Narayanman Bijukchhe, has said the country would move towards the path of development if politicization and corruption were prevented.
Chairperson Bijukchhe said so while distributing prizes to the winners of Bhaktapur district-wide Open Badminton Championship held at Madhyapur Thimi from September 24 to mark the 26th Establishment Day of the Nepal Revolutionary Youth Association.
He further spoke the importance of motivating youths to get involved in the development of sports sector assuring the general public that the sector is corruption-free.
Also speaking on the occasion, Chairperson of Nepal Revolutionary Women Association and lawmaker Anuradha Thapa Magar stressed the youth force of the country to be involved in sports sector for the protection of national sovereignty.
Tirtha Malla of North Point Badminton Club, Tirtha Malla, clinched the title of the Male Single Category in the Championship while Tirtha Malla and Nischal Khatri of the North Point Badminton Club won the title under Male Double Category.
Likewise, a team of Suman Khadka and Bhim Kumar Giri of the Shree Bhakta Badminton Club won the title of male veterans.
Chairman Bijukchhe presented medals, cash and certificates to the winner and first runner up of the Championship. RSS
