LALITPUR, Nov 3: Seventy-nine people have died of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Lalitpur as of Tuesday, according to the District Public Health Office in Lalitpur.
Khageshwor Gelal, chief of the District Public Health Office, said that 79 people succumbed to COVID-19 in the district. According to him, 6,316 individuals who had earlier tested positive for the virus have been recovered as of today. The coronavirus case tally in the district has reached 8,810, including 2,415 active cases, Gelal said.

Devi Gurung, coordinator of the rapid response team, said that 5,442 cases of coronavirus were detected in Lalitpur Metropolitan City. There are currently 1,546 active cases of coronavirus in the metropolis.
