KATHMANDU, Jan 24: One person has been found to be infected from coronavirus in Nepal.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the person who came from China’s virus-infected Wuhan region has been found to have ‘positive’ result after a lab test at WHO Collaborating Center Hong Kong.
“The infected person doesn’t have any symptoms though and is kept under strict supervision,” the press-statement released by the MoHP on Friday read.
The Ministry also stated that the Epediomolgy and Disease Control Division has been closely supervising and making an extensive study over the issue. “We are soon informing the World Health Organization (WHO) about the recent case with details as per Regulations on International Health.
The Ministry, however, has not disclosed any identity of the patient.
