BIRGUNJ, Jun 8: The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has brought contractor to staffers under the purview of investigation after the Babai Bridge caved in at Jabdighat in Bardiya.
Pappu Construction Company had constructed Babai Bridge following an agreement with the Department of Roads.
The construction company had handed over the bridge to the Department of Roads after completion on July 5, 2016.

The 15 No. pillar had caved in on August 3, 2017.
The construction company, supervisor, engineer and even high ranking officials have come under the purview of investigation.
CIAA spokesperson Rameshwor Dhungana said that investigating officials are looking into the case.
