POKHARA, Feb 13: The consumption of sugarcane has increased in the district during Maha Shivaratri. According to the fruit sellers, they have imported sugarcane worth Rs 10 million for the festival. They have imported sugarcanes from Jhapa, Dhading, Gorkha, Lamjung, Sunsari, Chitwan in the district. They extract sugarcane juice by lightning bonfire during Maha Shivaratri.
