Engineer Suraj Shah said the construction of the depot started a year ago and is completing soon and would be brought into operation after a technical test.

New Driven MC Phalgunanda Construction Company is building the depot after winning the tender with a bid of Rs 15 million.

For the lack of a fuel depot, the aviation fuel is being carried from Kathmandu in the plane itself. "Now, the issue will be addressed and the plane fare will also be reduced," Shah said.

Currently, the airport receives planes five days a week except for Friday and Saturday.
