Parbat, June 5: An arch bridge will be constructed over the Modi River along the Parbat section of the Pushpalal Mid-Hill Highway Project.
The bridge construction is beginning two years after the blacktopping of the highway's Parbat segment was completed. According to the Pushpalal Mid-Hill Highway Project Office, the bridge will connect Patichaur in Modi Rural Municipality Ward 2 with Dimuwa in Ward 6.
Country's first arch bridge built in Bijuli Bazar
Engineer Kalpana Mishra from the project office stated that the Department of Bridges under the Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport has approved the construction of the arch bridge. She further informed that the process of removing the electricity infrastructure from the bridge site is currently underway.
A contract worth Rs 75 million has been signed for the construction of the 62-meter-long and 11-meter-wide bridge.
