KATHMANDU, Feb 9: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that it is not the time to review Nepal's constitution and political system.
The Institute of Policy Research and the Election Commission said that the preliminary findings obtained from the study on the improvement of the electoral system and management process may lead to political instability if the review is going on now.

Prime Minister Dahal said that the necessary laws for the implementation of the constitution are yet to be made and only after the full implementation of the constitution can one come to a conclusion as to what the problems and errors are. Let's implement what the constitution says first. Let's review the results it gives. "The constitution should not be blamed without implementing the provisions in the constitution," he said.
In order to strengthen federalism, it is necessary to enact the Federal Civil Service Act and many other laws, he opined, adding that they should be reviewed only after they have been completed.
“If we proceed to review the constitution and the country’s political system now, it may invite political instability. People don't look at the philosophies, principles, systems etc; they look at the results," said Dahal
