Consensus possible in two hours if leaders own willpower: Nembang

KATHMANDU, March 23: Constituent Assembly (CA) Chairman Subas Nembang has said that the disputed issues of the new constitution would be resolved in two hours if the leaders possess willpower and were in favor of constitution drafting.

Receiving a memorandum submitted by the Civil Society Nepal today, Nembang said the country has not got the constitution in time as the political parties failed to translate their commitments made in the election manifesto.On a separate context, the CA Chairman said initiatives have been taken from the CA to prevent the lawmakers for their foreign trip in the money of the migrant workers.

Submitting the memorandum, the civil society leaders asked Nembang to take steps to ensure social security and justice, stop violence against women and others. RSS
