“A crucial meeting of the key leaders from the three major political parties is being held and constitution writing, peace process and formation of national consensus government will be discussed,” Dahal said at a function on Wednesday.
He emphasized the need for unity between the major parties for successfully ending the ongoing transitional phase. “Nepal will make a great leap forward once we conclude the ongoing transition,” Dahal said, adding, “Otherwise, the country will plunge into a serious crisis.” He said leaders are well aware of the possible consequences of failure.
He claimed that the peace process would conclude within a couple of weeks. The Maoist chairman said the task of re-categorizing the Maoist combatants had already been accomplished and that they are busy making final preparations for integration of the combatants into the Nepal Army.
“It is certain that we will resolve the issues of integration within a week or two,” he explained.
Dahal arrived in Pokhara to attend a function organized in memory of Ghanshyam Dhakal, chairman of All Nepal Writers´ Association, who was killed in a road accident in Kathmandu earlier this month.
