SOLUKHUMBU, Nov 21: Nepali Congress General Secretary Dr.Shashank Koirala has said that it was necessary for the Nepali Congress to work for safeguarding democracy and sustainable development.
Speaking at an electoral program held at Nele bazaar of the district, he said that the left alliance was born out of selfish interest, and it would dismantle soon after the elections.
This, he said, will endanger democracy. The alliance will have no effect on the performance of the Congress, which will win a good place in the coming elections.
On the occasion, he expressed the commitment to help accomplish two milestones including taking the road up to Chaurikharka of Solukhumbu and upgrading the Necha road from Okhaldhunga. He also expressed the confidence that the love of Solu people for Congress would continue this time as well. RSS
