KATHMANDU, Dec 7: Nepali Congress leader Bhishma Raj Angdembe has announced his candidature for the post of joint general secretary at the party's upcoming 14th general convention. He announced his candidature for the post of joint general secretary from Aadivasi and Janajati category at a press conference organized on Monday.
The NC party statute has a provision to have eight joint general secretaries under different clusters of inclusiveness. Leader Aangdembe said that he would run for the post to develop the party as an ideologically clear, organizationally dynamic and emotionally united and disciplined party.

He also stressed on the need to make the NC strong and united for the effective implementation of the present constitution to make inclusive and participatory democracy meaningful. He has put forward 13 different agendas including launching a national democratic renaissance campaign to unite all the democrats to make the NC victorious in the upcoming all three-tier elections.
The 14th General Convention of the NC is being held in Kathmandu from December 10 to 12.
