Complaint lodged against Binod Chaudhary at Election Commission

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: A complaint has been lodged at the Election Commission demanding the dismissal of Nepali Congress central member Binod Chaudhary.

KATHMANDU, Jan 6: A complaint has been lodged at the Election Commission demanding the dismissal of Nepali Congress central member Binod Chaudhary.


According to the Nepali Congress statute, Chaudhary should have been an active member of the party for 10 consecutive years to become a central member, but since Chaudhary joined the Nepali Congress only in 2074 BS, Subhash Chandra Yadav, a member of the general committee of Siraha Constituency 3 lodged a complaint saying that he could not become a central member.

Stating that Chaudhary has become a central member illegally, Yadav has demanded Chaudhary be dismissed and Yadav be made a central member.


Chaudhary was elected a central member from the Madhesi quota (open) by the recently-concluded 14th general convention of the Nepali Congress.
