TANAHUN, Feb 3: The compensation amount for altogether 10 households affected by the under-construction Tanahun Hydropower Project has been determined.
A meeting of the compensation determination committee presided over by the Chief District Officer decided to dole out compensation to the households affected by the project site at Lokpa, Dharapani, Dhoklak, Bulsalt and Jhaputar in Rishing Municipality, Tanahun.

Likewise, the community members would be compensated for the loss of their agricultural properties and other damages caused by the construction of the transmission line and other infrastructures.
Dams and other infrastructures are being constructed under the package-1 of the hydel project, and the main tunnel and power house are being developed under the package-2, while the Damauli-Bharatpur 220 KV transmission line is being fixed under the package-3 of the project with a capacity of 140 megawatts.
