College padlocked over doubling of exam fees

BIRATNAGAR, March 29: Students have padlocked Mahendra Morang Multiple Campus in Biratnagar, the biggest college of the eastern region, on Sunday to protest doubling of examination fees by Tribhuvan University.



The students chanted slogans against the administration demanding refund of the increased fees.



Tribhuvan University recently doubled examination fees after 12 years. The protest comes at a time when TU is preparing to increase admission fees as well.



Meanwhile, Acting President of Nepal Students´ Union Morang Gopal Khatri in a statement has protested the increase in fees.
