According to the organizers this event has been designed do something creative and to explore mental health, while encouraging people to talkabout it.[break]
“The participants will use different materials like chart paper, plastic, and newspapers to make creative pieces of art portraying various issues related to mental health.
They will present their collage after preparing it at the workshop,” said Saugat Gautam, event coordinator of the club.
He added that the participants will be given pre-orientation on mental health before working on the collages and will inform people about mental health in Nepal.
“People in Nepal think that mental health is only related to madness and it is still a taboo here,” opined Saugat adding, “We want to discourage such perception and support the idea that mental health is just like any other disorder.”
The club has invited various colleges for participation. About 15 teams have registered for participation. Classic International College, St Xavier’s College, K and K International College, Goldengate International College, Triton International College, Womenland and various Rotaract clubs will be participating at the event.

Apart from the collage work, the participants will also be involved in various group activities and indoor games.
The collage prepared at the event will be gifted to different NGOs working on mental health issues and hospitals dealing with the same to be hung on their walls.
The competition will be conducted from 9:30 am till 2:00 pm.
