Cold wave toll in Saptari hits 4

RAJBIRAJ, Dec 18: A cold wave that hit Siraha and Saptari districts five days ago on Saturday has led to two additional deaths in Saptari.



This has taken the total death toll due to cold wave to four, according to records at Saptari District Police Office.



The latest casualties in Saptari have been identified as Rupa Kumari Mandal, a 20-day-old girl of Mahadeva-3, and one-year-old Samjhana Kumari Chaudhary of Brahmapur-8.



Before them, 22-year-old Pramod Kumar Chaudhary, a student at Chinnamasta Eduational Academy in Rajbiraj, and Sita Ram Yadav of Malkepur-5, had died of hypothermia.
