Cold claims one, another dies in clash

MAHOTTARI, Nov 22: A man died of severe cold in Belgachhi VDC of Mahottari district on Saturday night. Gauri Ray, a local resident, said 55-year-old Hari Nandan Raya Yadav of Belgachhi-7 breathed his last due to severe cold. It is said that Yadav died due to lack of warm clothes for the winter season.



Locals said cold has increased in the last one week due to low temperature in the district. This is the first case of death caused by cold in the district this winter.



Similarly, a man was killed in a minor clash between two sides in Telkuwa VDC-8 of Bara district on Sunday night. Mangal Prasad Yadav died on the way to hospital after a group led by Bikram Yadav attacked him over a minor issue, police said.



Police have arrested Sajan Prasad Yadav, Chhotelal Yadav, Ram Prit Yadav and Jamindar Yadav on the charge of being involved in the murder. However, alleged Bikram Yadav is absconding from the scene, police informed.
