Coca-Cola Nepal launches second phase of Saksham Accelerator and Mentorship Program

KATHMANDU, June 17:  Coca-Cola Nepal has announced the second phase of the Saksham Accelerator and Mentorship Program, aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs across Nepal.

KATHMANDU, June 17:  Coca-Cola Nepal has announced the second phase of the Saksham Accelerator and Mentorship Program, aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs across Nepal. Launched on March 8, 2022, in collaboration with Atelier Platform Pvt Ltd, the program has already trained over 2,000 women. Chandrika Kalia, Country Director for Coca-Cola in Nepal, emphasized the company's commitment to fostering innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity through initiatives like Saksham.


The 2024 program started with an orientation on May 31, followed by expert-led sessions on feminist leadership, company legalities, finance, and the circular economy. This year’s cohort includes 10 women from diverse fields such as agriculture, hydroponics, mental health, and technology. These participants will benefit from bi-weekly sessions and mentorship to develop their entrepreneurial ventures.

The Saksham program is a key part of Coca-Cola Nepal’s Women Empowerment initiative, supporting women entrepreneurs in and outside the Kathmandu Valley. In collaboration with Bottlers Nepal Limited, the program also provides training in financial literacy, hospitality, and sanitation management to female retailers and small restaurant owners.
