KATHMANDU, April 3: Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) General Rajendra Chhetri has left for inspection visit to the Democratic Republic of Congo on Monday. According to a press statement issued by the Directorate of Public Relations of Nepal Army, CoAS Chhetri will be inspecting the Nepali contingent deployed in the United Nations Organization Stabilization Mission in the DR Congo and another Nepal Army contingent serving in the United Nations Mission in South Sudan. During the inspection, CoAS Chhetri will get details about the field situation, operation and logistical and other aspects of the missions. According to the statement, Chhetri is scheduled to hold meetings with commanders and senior officials of the UN Peace Keeping Mission in Congo and South Sudan. He is scheduled to return home on April 9.
