KATHMANDU, Sept 5: Confederation of Nepalese Industry (CNI) on Monday hold a discussion with newly appointed envoys to Germany, Austria and Brazil, namely Ramesh Khanal, Prakash Subedi and Tara Prasad Pokhrel.
Issuing a statement, CNI said that the discussion aimed at promoting bilateral investment and trade with their host countries. At the discussion, CNI officials also urged the ambassadors to promote different investment potential sectors of Nepal and encourage investors there to put their money into Nepal.
“Embassies there should find out what type of policy intervention is needed to bring investments from there and make needful recommendations to the government,” Hari Bhakta Sharma, president of CNI, said.
Speaking at the discussion, CNI Vice President Satish More said that the ambassadors should focus more on promotion of bilateral economic trade and investment rather than concentrating on traditional diplomacy.
On the occasion, envoys of all three countries said that their primary target would be to develop good economic diplomacy and promote bilateral trade and investment.
