“On September 19, I had shared my friend’s post regarding the black day on my Facebook wall. Later, I was fired from my job just because of that,” Raya said at a press conference on Sunday.

“I know, being a government official I should not speak against the constitution. But getting fired for sharing someone else’s post is not fair,” Raya said, urging journalists to help her in getting get justice.

She says she should be pardoned for her first-time offense. Radhakanta Jha, a registrar at Dhanusha District Court, handed her a termination letter of her contract on September 21 stating that she will not be able to continue her job from Saturday.
