Eight prisoners injured in clash

MAHOTTARI, Nov 27: Eight people were injured in the clash that erupted between the two groups supporting prisoners Santosh Pandit and Kari Shah at Jaleshwar Prison in the district on Sunday.

MAHOTTARI, Nov 27: Eight people were injured in the clash that erupted between the two groups supporting prisoners Santosh Pandit and Kari Shah at Jaleshwar Prison in the district on Sunday.


They have sustained head injuries and have been taken to Kanti Community Hospital, Jaleshwar for treatment.

The clash erupted when Pandit hit Shah on his head with a tap handle.


Mohammad Ali Yakad, Sanjay Bamjan, Dinesh Bhujel, Ramesh Kumar Das, Shyamdev Paswaan, and Surendra Prassad Singh have sustained serious injuries.


A team of Nepal Army and Nepal Police from District Police Office had taken the situation under the control, Inspector Rabindra Khannal told Republica Online.
