He was of the opinion that the CJ’s acceptance of the premiership offer will not only make the country suffer but also result in him falling from grace. “How can an apolitical person run the government who has no understanding of politics and has never taken part in any political negotiation or deal?,” he questioned.
Chand further said seeking an alternative to the prime ministerial candidate outside political parties is tantamount to robbing the people of their political rights and added that only an all-party government could tackle the country’s outstanding, issues including the peace process.
