KATHMANDU, Jan 7: A total of 53 people have been arrested from an illegal call center in Satdobato, Lalitpur. A team from the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) raided the center on Monday night and took them into custody.
CIB Chief, Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Dipak Thapa, said that among those arrested, two are Indian nationals, and the rest are Nepalis along with 29 women.

Thapa also mentioned that 85 laptops and 82 mobile phones were seized from their possession. Initial investigations revealed that the arrested individuals were running an illegal call center in Satdobato, engaging in online gambling and other illicit activities.
It is also said that the individuals were arrested after it was found that they had registered a company named Prolink Solution in a rented four-story building in Satdobato and were conducting gambling activities.
The CIB has stated that the individuals will be kept in custody for further investigation, with their detention period extended today.
